HOW DOES OUR SCHOOL PROMOTE BRITISH VALUES?
- Through our comprehensive PSHE curriculum – SCARF
- Through our comprehensive RE curriculum – SACRE
- School council is voted for by the pupils – democratic vote
- We are part of the Smart Schools Councils – where each pupil in the class votes on various topical issues
- We instil nurturing values and attitudes in children e.g. teaching them the importance of caring for each other as well as our environment; littler picking; singing at local care homes; charity work etc
- Trips and visits throughout the year
- Visitors to school
- Assemblies – talk about Respect, Achieve, Aspire / Diversity and other cultures
- Culture week every year
- Disability Awareness Day – athletes in school with disabilities
- Peer Mentors, Playground Buddies, First Aid Champions
- Pupil Voice – Subject Ambassadors
- Intergenerational jubilee Day – elderly residents helped us celebrate the Jubilee in an afternoon of singing, games and afternoon tea.
